Westwood is running a new member, first-year, $400 all-inclusive family membership rate.
For returning members, please see the Membership Page.
I need to bring my children's babysitter to the pool with us. How can we include the sitter in our membership?
Babysitters, or other single individuals associated with a member family can be added yearly to a family membership with an Associate Member fee of $150. Also included under this category may be visiting relatives.
Do non-swimming Grandparents have to be included in a family membership?
Non-swimming grandparents are welcome to Westwood, without charge, while accompanying children eligible under a paid membership. Swimming Grandparents may be added yearly to a family membership with an Associate Member fee of $150.
I don't want to join for the entire summer. Any alternatives?
Try Westwood's August membership. This is a one-time only program where you only pay $200 to attend Westwood from August 1 to August 31. The member family will still be considered members in full and will receive a bill in November for the following summer.
What if I cannot pay my bill until after the due date?
Payments for Summer 2008 are due on June 1st, 2008. After that date, a late fee of $50.00 is added to the membership dues. If fees are not paid in full by the time of the pool opening, members will not be admitted to the pool. Pay early and don't miss any of the summer fun at Westwood!
Where do I send my membership payments?
Please send all payments to Westwood Swim Club, P.O. Box 738, Mount Holly, NJ 08060
I paid my membership dues early, but did not get my gold pass. What should I do?
A roster of eligible Gold Pass holders will be available at the gate by the Memorial Day opening weekend. For discrepancies, please contact the Treasurer or the Membership Coordinator and please have your early payment date information available.
What are the guest fees?
The 2008 guest fee is $5.00 per person, regardless of age.
How old do you have to be to work at the pool?
Kids must be at least 14 years of age to work as a gate guard; they must be 15 to be a lifeguard, and must be certified. BCC and Fort Dix offer certification courses. Applications for employment are available online. For additional information, please contact us.
We would like to use the pool for a party. What is the process?
For a member party, such as a birthday party, please contact us about dates, availability, and services that can be provided by the staff to assist you with set up. Plan to provide the gate guard with a list of names of expected attendees. The gate guard will verify a count of the members/guests who attend the party. The member will pay the total guest fee to the manager at the time of the party. Please remember that the regular guest fee is applicable for all swimming guests; a parent who accompanies a child to a birthday party, but does not swim, does not incur a guest fee.
How do I resign?
According to the bylaws, members may resign by sending a letter of resignation, postmarked prior to the December 31st cutoff, to the Board of Directors. Bond money reimbursement was frozen in 2005. When membership is increased, bonds will begin to be disbursed again.
Where is my bond money?
Thank you to all inactive bondholders who have been so patient while the club is working to increase its membership. The new Westwood President, Doug Walker, is commited to repaying all valid bonds from members who resigned according to the bylaws as quickly as possible. Again, thank you for the patience you've shown since the bond monies were frozen in 2005.
How can I make use of my membership while waiting for my bond refund?
Try Westwood's Buy Out Program. A family who resigns according to bylaws can opt to use portions of the bond money toward pool dues. The first year, $200 will be deducted from your dues, while you continue to enjoy Westwood facilities. This continues with the second year. $100 is applied towards your dues the third and last year of your buy-out. A letter requesting this program should be sent to the Membership Chair to begin the process.
